Arrival in the City of Lights

Land in Paris, find your way to the hostel, and drop your bags. The first official move is meeting the rest of the crew for drinks at the hostel bar tonight. It's a low-key start before the trip kicks off for real tomorrow.

Picnics and Parisian Afternoons

After a quick walk to get oriented, the day's main event is a classic Parisian picnic right under the Eiffel Tower. The afternoon is yours to tackle the city's overwhelming checklist. Your best move is to pick one zone: lose a few hours in the Louvre, wander the artist-filled streets of Montmartre, or check out the gargoyles at Notre Dame. You can't do it all, so don't try.

Overland to the Swiss Alps

This is a full-on travel day. The morning starts with a high-speed train out of Paris, cutting across France to the Swiss border. From there, it’s an overland transfer deeper into the mountains, with the scenery getting progressively more dramatic as you climb into the Bernese Alps. You'll arrive in Interlaken, the region's hub for mountain sports, in the late afternoon. Settle into the hostel and breathe in the clean Swiss air.
